Baby Toys. Just the beginning...

I remember being so excited with Josh when it came time for us to get our baby registry together. I remember he was weirded out that I already had a list of things I knew we would need before we researched baby stuff haha. I grew up babysitting 4 of my little cousins so I remember all of the baby items my aunt received and used along with basics that she had to go out and purchase. I’m going to sound like a broken record but I am so thankful for all of the moms that I have met especially through social media. The best type of reviews are honest mom reviews!

I will never forget registering for a specific baby bottle on our registry because it was the #1 selling baby bottle at the time. When it actually came time to using it on Henry, he hated it! We tried about 3-4 different types of bottles and ended up loving the Chicco Natural Fit Bottles. The slow flow “newborn” bottle has an angled nipple and kept air from getting stuck in the bottle. (I reviewed their starter kit in a previous post. Search my site for “Chicco")

As first time parents we learned there’s not much to do with a newborn except feed, sleep, and change. One thing I remember doing from day one with Henry is moving his arms a little and communicating with him when he was awake. I truly believe that made a huge difference in his development. I remember when he was about 3 weeks old he started following bright red colors. I’ll be honest and share with you that a LOT of our baby items I registered for were beige, neutral colors. I quickly learned that Henry needed bright vibrant toys. We started putting him on his play mat when he was about 1 month old. He loved all the colors hanging above him. I linked a few of my favorites (including our play mat below)

With so many toys out on the market it’s hard to know which ones to register for or which ones to purchase yourself. I am linking all of Henry’s current favorite toys below. I love that all of these give me the ability to leave him in the crib or playmate for 2 minutes so I can go to the bathroom haha! Keep in mind most of these toys did not interest him until he was about 2 months old. His favorite when he was about 2-3 weeks old was Flappy the Elephant!
